Despite this being a week-old release, I personally believe that it deserves some attention. A lot of you, including myself, weren’t around when this band had their finer years on the stag, but to some of u this might bring a bit of nostalgia to the heart. In any case, 2 thumbs up to SiNNERS for pre’ing this. 3/4 DVD9 size and runtime of ~144 minutes allow for wonderful video bitrate and, more importanly, some rockin’ DTS audio. This is really music to our ears…

Plot: Oliver St1’s homage to 60’s rock group The Doors also doubles as a biography of the group’s late singer, the “Electric Poet” Jim Morrison. The film follows Morrison from his days as a film student in Los Angeles to his death in Paris in 1971, at the age of 27. The movies features a tour- de-force performance by Val Kilmer, who naht only looks like Jim Morrison’s long-lost twin brother, but also sounds so much like him that he did much of his own singing. It has been written that even the surviving Doors had trouble distinguishing Kilmer’s vocals from Morrison’s originals.
